Golf is a game that teaches lifelong lessons that extend beyond our student athlete’s time on the LSHS Golf Team. It is imperative that the learning process begins prior to the first tryout and continues long after the end of the high school career. Golf is typically taught, practiced, and played individually, which contradicts the ideals of team sports. Learning how to grow, as an individual, through mental and physical practice will help golfers be an effective contributors to the team as a whole. What will be encouraged is the development of a passion for the sport, confidence in one’s ability, and embracing the journey together as a team.
